About the Home
The Bean is one of the most characterful homes in the For Care family — a beautifully renovated 5-bedroom, 2-bathroom wooden cottage surrounded by lush leafy foliage, with a lemon tree in the garden and a serene, treehouse-like quality that sets it apart from a typical SIL home. For participants who appreciate a home with warmth, personality, and a connection to nature, The Bean is genuinely special.
The large wraparound veranda is the heart of outdoor life here — a wonderful space for morning coffees, alfresco dining, or simply sitting amongst the greenery. Wheelchair ramp access to the veranda means this space is available to everyone, regardless of mobility needs. Inside, French doors connect the modern open-plan kitchen directly to the veranda, creating a seamless flow between indoors and outdoors that makes the home feel bright, airy, and open. Floorboards throughout and plenty of natural light add to the warm, inviting atmosphere.
Air conditioning ensures year-round comfort, and the fully fenced property provides privacy and security for participants and their families. Common areas are fully furnished and tastefully decorated, while your bedroom is your personal space — you are free to bring your own furniture and decorate as you choose.
You’ll be empowered to live your life your way, learn new skills, explore your local community and the activities you love, all with professional and compassionate disability support from the For Care team, available around the clock. You can also receive help with domestic tasks, medication, budgeting and support to develop social skills and relationships.
The Bean is ideal for NDIS participants with SIL or Home and Living funding in their plan.
